HEAL is a research study being conducted at Rush University Medical Center. The HEAL (Health Equity and Longevity) in Black Women study was designed to find out how exposure to racism and sexism influence Black women’s mental and physical health. We plan to meet with Black women to hear their stories and how they cope with the stresses of life. This information allow us to develop an intervention for Black women to improve mental and physical health outcomes.
